Each month Virgin Atlantic produce their special in-flight magazine 'VERA'. Windles helped develop and design the coldfoil design for a Jumanji Movie special edition featuring Karen Gillan. She was so pleased with our work that she personally praised the front cover. We are incredibly proud of all the work we have done, and continue to carry out at Windles to make our business as sustainable as possible. Advanced bi-product separation from all production areas, ultra-high insulation, intelligent zonal lighting, solar panels, factory heating from renewable energy via waste wood pallets, and electric car-charging points are just some of the ways we help to have a cleaner and environmentally friendly business.
Packaging is a massively influential part of selling a product and has a very varied function when it comes to delivering the right message.

Packaging needs to get the immediate attention of the customer. Windles' special printing and finishing techniques are perfect for this. Eye-catching and impactful print ensures your product has optimal shelf presence. Windles understand the packaging sells the product, highlighting key values and specifications of what is inside. The packaging is the carrier to deliver the product safely and securley to the end-user.

We can work with a multitude of substrates including, FBB and differing plastics - each one chosen for its unique qualities and advantages.

Our client base includes a whole host of different businesses, delivering flat sheets or finished glued cartons.Yes, we printed this......Well, we had to keep this one quiet. You may have seen in the news that HRH The Duchess of Sussex has guest edited the September edition of Vogue Magazine. Windles Group were asked to print and produce the glorious (and now famous) front cover. Using a combination of specially made material, print inks and varnish combinations, our expert press-operators printed this with clinical accuracy and professionalism. We love producing work like this that really pushes what is achievable in print.Beanz Meanz Heinz - voted the top advertising slogan of all time, and created by Maurice Drake in 1967. As part of the 50th Anniversary, Windles worked closely with design agency, JKR, to produce a series of special edition sleeves for their iconic tins. It was Windles' unique Cold Foil process that helped us secure the prestigious work by being able to print differing metallic gold slogans on each tin.
Windles Group have a fantastic combination of print techniques, finishes and materials. All of which give designers and agencies a very creative palette of visual elements, some that are unique to Windles. Our aim is to develop new techniques that give that ‘something different’. To support our production of packaging, we have an in-house studio, CAD room and sampling service that supports you from concept to delivery.
Windles Group recognise that designers and publishers of greeting cards all begin at the same point, with your first card. Windles Group have the knowledge, experience and production support to ensure you get a quality product from one card to a million, with all the finishes along the way. A lot of our clients started small, and we are very proud to have grown with them.At print stage we can apply a silver-based coating to any of the products or packaging that we print. This coating kills any virus or bacteria that comes in contact with the surface, stopping the spread or growth of any un-wanted bugs and diseases. The coating is completely invisible but gives you peace-of-mind.

Just over three years ago, Windles moved in to our new custom designed factory. The state-of-the-art sustainable building is home to some of the latest print and production equipment in the UK, some of which has been adapted to produce some very unique products, both in the packaging and greeting’s markets. In 2019 we were very privileged to WIN, and be highly commended in two categories at the prestigious PrintWeek Awards. We won Social Stationery Printer of Year, and were highly commended in the Environmental Company of the Year. Having been previous winners of the Environmental Company of the Year three times along with other print categories we are proud of our collection of glass prisms.
